Requirements
	We will attempt to answer any question you have about Deck license requirements and STCW certifications. We strongly suggest that you obtain approval from your local USCG Regional Exam Center before taking any of the deck courses to insure that you have adequate sea time for the course you are taking. There are 17 USCG Regional Exam Centers throughout the 50 states. They are most helpful in assisting you with your paperwork. The License Evaluators at the USCG will evaluate your sea time and paperwork based primarily upon 46CFR 10, Licensing of Maritime Personnel. Please check out the link for very helpful information.			There is much confusion in the industry about STCW and who is required to have it. The USCG’s STCW Home Page can answer many of the questions that you may have.
